About the project:

I composed original music to underscore the light art installation REFLECT with artist Emma Gasson. In Emma’s words, “REFLECT is a sensory light art installation that aims to evoke a sense of tranquillity and presence, encouraging the audience to engage in a state of ‘drifting.’”

The light art draws on the idea that our bodies, composed of 60% water, naturally enter a semi-meditative state when near water, allowing us to be more attuned to our immediate surroundings. Stretching along a 10-metre surface of water and illuminated to project clear reflections onto the opposing wall, this transforms the space, creating a dynamic visual experience driven by the movements of the audience. Visitors are invited to interact with the water, generating ripples and reflections that contribute to the evolving artwork.
